Microsoft Surface Go 3 launched in India

Microsoft has declared its Surface Go 3 Windows-fueled convertible in India. This new profoundly compact PC is accessible in either a dual-core Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor or quad-core 10th generation Intel Core i3-10100Y. Microsoft focuses on both – home users and business clients for the Surface Go 3.

This 2-in1 gadget was released worldwide in September after the revealing of Microsoft’s most recent Windows 11 OS. It accompanies a 10.5-inch display with a 3:2 angle proportion and weighs only 544 grams. All these factors make it an ideal device for students and individuals who travel a lot.

Microsoft presented the PC in four different variants depending on it’s innards. The retail price depends on the variant you go for. The Surface Go 3 is currently available for pre-order on the official website. However, the retail will begin December onwards.

The Microsoft Go 3 Specifications

The Surface Go 3 comes with Windows 11 straight out of the box. Some of the key highlights include 1080p cameras, studio microphones, Dolby Audio, optional-LTE connectivity, day-long battery life and more. The convertible offers Windows hello face sign-in for protection.

For consumers, Microsoft offers the Pentium Gold processor combined with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD. Anyhow, business users have the choice between Pentium Gold and 10th Gen Intel Core i3 with similar storage options.

The laptop  has a 10.5 inch, 1920×1280 pixel display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 finish. The Microsoft Go 3 is accompanied by a preloaded Microsoft Suite of apps. These include Microsoft 365, teams, edge and more. The launch offer includes a one-month trial for Microsoft 365 Family and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and a bundle. The organization claims that the Surface Go 3 offers up to 11 hours of battery life.

The Verdict

The Surface Go 3 is expected to be a modest affordable laptop for both business users and home users. However, if your work requires heavy files and software, the Surface Go3 isn’t for you. The Processor i3 is very weak. ‘Geekbench’ scores suggest that the Surface Go 3 wouldn’t be able to handle simple photo editing. The processor is destined to give up in situations like these. Although if you are looking for a budget laptop that can fulfil your basic daily errands online or offline, the Surface Go 3 might just be the best option for you.
