Updated: Jun 23, 2023

We understand that you have been feeling a gap in your lives after the ending of ‘Money Heist Season 5’ last year. We also understand that to fill in this gap you have been looking out for the perfect Heist movies that can deliver the thrill and magic that every Man enjoys. And to quench that thirst, we are here to give you five best heist movies to watch that can take you on a rollercoaster ride, this long weekend.

In recent times Heist movies have become a genre in themselves. They are perfect amalgamation of thrill, drama, chase sequences, mystery and what not. A perfect set of things that any man enjoys, especially in the movies he watches.

So grab the popcorn and let the heist begin!

Army Of Thieves – Netflix

A prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, this recently released heist movie on Netflix is an absolute must-watch if you love some ‘cracking the uncrackable safe’ action-drama. Although it is not quite a Zombie movie like Army of the Dead was, you would need to watch this Zombie thriller first to understand the context or you’ll miss some key moments that you need to know!

Ocean’s 8 – Prime Video

This all-female high-octane heist drama from the Ocean universe is another one you can’t miss. Having all the ingredients that the Ocean’s Trilogy has be it striking visuals, tongue-in-cheek humour, sharp dialogues and a mind-boggling star cast including the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna, this is one of those breezy fun heist movies that make the genre so lovable.

Widows – Disney+ Hotstar

A bunch of men die in a police shootout and then it’s their widows who come together and execute the heist their dead husbands were planning to. Led by the powerhouse that’s Viola Davis and starring other stellar performers like Michelle Rodriguez, Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell and Daniel Kaluuya, this is an intriguing story with plenty of well-executed action scenes and loads of drama.

Now You See Me – Netflix

No heist movie list can leave out this masterpiece. A movie that is enjoyable to watch again and again despite you knowing all the major plot-twists. While the end of this movie has the audience split, this movie has great performances, some mind-boggling twists (as said before), loads of heist and a never-before seen element of ‘magic’ in its heist. It’s tight, sharply edited and has moments of absolute brilliance!

Baby Driver- Netflix

This movie has got some stunning camera-work, brilliant styling, some breathtaking escape scenes and a background score to die for. Featuring a starcast with the likes of Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Eiza González, Jon Hamm and others, it’s a racy thriller where a former getaway driver is forced to return into stealing and his world unravels as the heist goes wrong.

Conclusion

Heist movies encompass thrill, mystery, adventure, action, and at times even romance. They form the basis of every man who is even a bit interested in entertainment. So why not embrace the idea this weekend, Men, and give yourselves a treat that we all know you definitely deserve? Let the fun begin!
